The Process
This Assessing Digital Learning course has helped me dig deeper into my innovation plan and understand what I expect my outcome to be. Of course, any implementation process comes with both challenges and celebrations. First, I had to narrow down my end goal within my plan. This helped me create an action research outline that detailed how I planned to measure my outcome and what that would look like.
The Literature
Action research in education involves identifying and addressing problems or challenges within a specific context. Blended learning in mathematics is not a new concept and I was intrigued to find resources that addressed any challenges that have already been found. Most importantly, I hoped to find information from research that may have already happened in the field - in the classrooms. Although it was difficult to find resources that were more specific to my topic, my literature review came together and I was able to include main points that relate to my umbrella topic.
The Plan
With the combination of those parts, I was able to create a more detailed action research plan (also available in PDF below) that contributes greatly to the implementation of my innovation plan. Overall, I think this entire process aided me in understanding more about my plan.
